Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receives the early and the latter rains.

James 5:7

This verse is very similar to the verses in John concerning the Vine and the Branches. We see here that the husbandman, the father, is patiently waiting for much fruit to develop on his crops; Looking for the rains to come, the Holy spirit, to nourish the growth of those crops.

It takes time and help from the Holy Spirit within us to grow into mature and productive or fruitful children of God.

This song describes the relationship between the Father and his children as they develop in this process.
