"Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said; Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up your loins like a man, and I will demand of, and you declare to me.
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the Earth?
Declare to me, if you have and know understanding."
Job 38:1-4
Imagine yourself face to face with the creator of the Universe and being
questioned as to how it all came into being. Would you be able to answer those
questions without hesitation or would you be unable to say a single word; not
knowing even where to begin!
The patriarch Job was faced with that very dilemma when Yahovah talked to him
out of the whirlwind. He found himself utterly speechless as questions were put
forth to him to answer.
At the end of the discourse Job answered in chapter 40: “therefore have I
uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew
not…wherefore I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.
This unparalleled encounter with Yahovah is set to music in this song.
